Removing tile

I love this picture so much because you can see the disgust and disappointment on David's face as he peeled off the 3rd layer of flooring in the kitchen only to find.... a fourth layer of flooring.

Get that tile coutertop out of here!!

And the wall, while you're at it!

We added a bookshelf in the kitchen to create a snack bar

DONE!
- Remove FOUR LAYERS of flooring
- Remove archway
- Install linoleum
- Install baseboards
- Paint the ceiling, walls, and trim
- Add more cabinetry
- Paint cabinets
- Remove old countertop (all 9 square feet of it)
- Build and install new countertops
- Paint door
- Update door and cabinet hardware
- Paint pantry doors
- Grind down and stain concrete (in dining room)
- Seal concrete
- Install transition between wood and concrete

To Do:
- New light fixtures/ install a light fixture in the dining room
- Install a sink transition
- New faucet
- Ceiling tiles?
- Re-do countertop to adjust the size of the bar area
- Fill-in pock marks in concrete and touch up the stain
- Polyurethane concrete floors

Question: Ceiling tiles in the kitchen: Yay or nay? In case you're wondering, we would remove the beam.
