The Family Room (Our living room)

The Family Room:
Before

During: We ripped up the carpet

Tearing down the wood panels.... notice all the black glue marks. How lovely!

Recruiting Mom and Dad Heywood to replace pieces of drywall

And my mother-in-law, who is amazing at everything she does, is also amazing at texturing walls by hand. That crap is tricky! I can still tell which areas she plastered versus the ones I did... haha.

Currently (Sorry for the terrible lighting)

A) This piano is gorgeous (Craigslist for $100!!), but still needs to be tuned and cleaned up. B) Can you just take a moment to appreciate the fact that this is the third DIFFERENT guitar pictured throughout the house? You might be a Heywood if... you have a guitar in every room of your house.

Yes, Vader has two beds. He and Polly fight over them.

These bad boys still need some work...

It's very hard to tell from the picture, but this is the stained concrete. It is light blue with a darker blue marbled in it... You'll just have to come see it in person to truly appreciate it. :)
