So about 6 months ago, one of my very talented sisters-in-law, Sarah, made me these awesome beanies! I hardly get to wear the beanies because it just doesn't get very cold in Bakersfield, but I wear these flower clips in my hair almost every single day. They are my favorite accessory ever. My sisters even love them which leads me to believe they are a universal symbol of peace or something (for those of you who know my sisters, the three of us might as well have been born into different families because we are so different). So I bought them both beanies and flowers in their favorite colors for Christmas.
Consequently, I have decided that I want to learn to crochet. I think that Christmas gifts would be so much fun and so heart-felt if I could crochet them! But because Sarah lives in Utah, I have only had one lesson. She taught me how to single crochet and how to double crochet, but I'll be honest. I kind of forgot how to double crochet.
So Sarah, please come home soon. I'm ready for my next lesson. :)
Oh, Britney. That tugged at my heart strings. You're not playing fair! We'll have some lessons while I'm home in a few weeks. Get your yarn ready! Did I tell you I'm gonna try knitting? I'm excited. I hope it sticks as well as crocheting did. I'm seriously happy that you love those flowers so much. It makes me giddy.
