Get Your Kicks on Route 66 (or the I-15 as the case may be)

About ten days ago, Britney and I took a little trip to Utah. Now, recently we have discovered the best road snack: Hot-n-Readys from Little Cesars.

For about three weeks before we left I had been looking forward to cruising down the road while munching on a nice Hot-n-Ready. I mean, it's not the best pizza in the world by any means, but it's so cheap and convenient. I mean, why even go to a hamburger place anymore, you know? Anyway, you know how sometimes you're really looking forward to something, and then when the time finally comes, it just doesn't sound that appealing to you anymore? Well, that's what happened to me. I had been looking forward to the Hot-n-Ready for so long, but when we started out on our trip, I just wasn't feeling it. Sadly, that's kinda how I feel on Christmas. Or Halloween. Or any holiday for that matter. Oh well.

Now, while we weren't exactly feeling the Hot-n-Ready, we were very hungry, and another guilty pleasure popped into our minds: chili cheese dogs from Wienerschnitzel. Let me explain. The chili cheese dog from Wienerschnitzel is made from the worst quality wiener you could imagine on an average or even below average peice of bread made with bleached flour. On top of the dog, a slice of nasty processed American cheese is placed, and on top of that is probably the worst chili in the world. I mean, the chili is mostly sauce. You get maybe two beans in your bun and even less meat. But somehow Wienerschnitzel pulls it off. I don't know what it is--they must put crack in those thing or something, but those things are delicious. Oh, so delicious!

As we ate our chili cheese dogs, we realized that they were quite possibly some of the worst things we could possibly eat. I wondered why the Lord didn't warn us against them in the Word of Wisdom. Could you imagine? "Strong drinks are not for the belly, neither shall ye partake of the chili cheese dogs from the place which shall be called Wienerschnitzel." But He didn't, and I will continue to eat them from time to time until He does!
Interestingly enough, we later saw some girls filling up their gas tank. It was obvious that they were on a road trip or something, and guess what they had in their car. That's right, a Hot-n-Ready. Our minds were blown. Also, we were hungry again at that point, so you better believe that we ended up getting a Hot-n-Ready after all.

It was delicious.

  5. Hot-n-Ready's are a great idea! I'm going to borrow that idea and tell Merrill so he can get those on his road trip to Idaho and Utah next month.
