So.... This is like running into an old friend that you haven't seen in a really long time and you don't exactly know what to say. And it's really just kind of awkward. Yep, that's how this entry feels.
Well, we got married, in case any of you have been on the edge of your seats for the past 5 months wondering if David went through with it or not. It was awesome. The temple is more wonderful than I can actually put into words. And as for married life, it is so great. I love being in love. I got sick on our honeymoon in Tehachapi (I know), but other than that, it was good. I worked full time last semester because I was dropped from my classes for non-payment (Boo.). For Halloween we made this bomb baby grand piano out of cardboard and dressed up as Schroeder and Lucy (there may or may not be pictures of this). Thanksgiving was good. Christmas was sweet. We went to Utah after Christmas, went to the temple for Marie's endowment (SO awesome), watched Invictus (watch it if you haven't! I loved it so gosh dang much!), David won $69 during the money game at the New Year's Eve party, danced 2009 away with my sisters (those Heywood woman know how to tear it up), and made Grandma & Grandpa Chinn snowmen. Then we traveled up north to look at some schools and visit the Brandows, defeated Bowser 4 times, decided on a school to transfer to, and ate Rallies french fries twice. School started. We're both in school this semester (yay for me) and David is working away (he's taking Calculus 3, Statistics, Interpersonal Communication, and Sociology, and working as a STEM assistant (basically a teacher's aide) for a Calculus 2 class and tutoring math and English). I'm looking for a job and taking my 4 classes.
Now you're all caught up on David and Britney. I'm gonna end it right about there, and you know, let it all sink in. My life is not overly exciting, and I don't know what to blog about, but this is the start of a new life. The blog is still being worked on.
By the way, the blog title... David loves cufflinks. He has several pair and wears a pair nearly every time he wears a tie (they sometimes even match the tie exactly). And I'm addicted to cardigans, as most of you probably know or have observed at some point. I'm wearing a lime green one right now.
Fin.

I love the blog title! Welcome back, my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteSO glad you made an update. And I agree with Megan-the title is perfect. Clever :P What's David's major? Merrill's had to take those same courses, but he's not a fan of the math stuff... And what school did you decide to go to?
ReplyDeleteCongrats Brit. You really do sound so Happy. Shelly, Connor and I love you very much and think of you everyday..
