Happy Monday! This weekend was particularly exciting. I had the opportunity to go through the temple on Saturday afternoon. Not only was it absolutely amazing and wonderful, but most of my family and close friends that I had wanted to be there were able to be there. It was so awesome to see them all waiting for me in the Celestial Room as I walked in. Pretty awesome. And I must say, I'm loving the garments.
Also, I hope that no one feels slighted by the fact that they have not received an announcement yet. We just sent them out today (FINALLY!!) but there are still a few that will go out tomorrow. So don't worry, you'll get them. It's been a long complicated process, and I don't love the announcements, but there's nothing we can do about it at this point. Everything was just rushed and postponed and yada yada yada. All I can say is that at least we have a beautiful picture. Thank you, Aunt Misty!
Wedding things are starting to come together, now. I'm not gonna lie, I am feeling quite stressed overall, but I know that everything will work out. I have wonderful family and friends that are doing so much to help. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect family to marry into (the man I'm marrying isn't too bad, either). My mother-in-law is doing so much. Seriously. She's made bridesmaid dresses, sashes, she'll be making the cake and MY dress. Not to mention lots of other little things and running around she's done. And my sisters-in-law are the best. They are the coolest and they're all doing so much to help out, too, even from all the way in Utah. But I'm just a very lucky girl, my friends. Well, more like blessed.
My mom's still working out the details for the shower, so those invites will also be going out this week. And actually, the shower will be on or around Thursday September 17th. So keep your eyes peeled. If you can't come, I understand and I'm sorry that everything has been on such short notice.
Enough wedding talk.
So B.C. kind of screwed me over this semester, so I am not taking any classes this semester and I'm looking for a full time job, so if anyone hears of any employment opportunities or if y'all have any connections, remember to hook a sister up. I'm starting to get very worried about finances, not to mention the fact that I've been feeling like a menace to society!
On a lighter note, the fam is going camping this weekend! Whoo! I haven't been camping with my parents since I was probably 10. Every time they have gone, I haven't been able to go for whatever reason. So I finally get to, and I'm pretty stoked because it's a ward camp out. So I highly encourage you to all come (we're a friendly little ward and would LOVE company, so even if you aren't technically in First Ward, we will gladly adopt you in for the night). It will be so much fun, guys! Camping + Cecil = good times. The last time I was camping with my dad, he decided to go mountain biking. Down a mountain. He didn't need a trail; he made his own. To make a long story short, he had to buy a new mountain bike after that little incident.
Anyway, I have a nice cold swimming pool that is calling my name...

I wanna go swimming! Sounds fun. I'll do it later, though.
ReplyDeleteBritney, I'm SO excited for you!! I understand the stress; and ya know, after the wedding and everything, I realized how much time I wasted stressing out, and wished I could've been more relaxed about it. Things will go well, I promise!
Camping also sounds like fun! But yeah, yay for a new blog!
PS- BC ALWAYS screwed me over. Even now, and I haven't been there for years. Seriously. I tried looking my transcripts, just to show Gary, and I was on academic probation, lol. Sigh.
This is soooooo exciting! I wish I could have been there when you entered the Celestial room! And don't worry about finances--the Lord is always looking out for you. And BC isn't the only school that screws you over (I still don't have my diploma, so I'm technically not a graduate). Still waiting for paperwork to go through in that department. See ya later (literally...)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on going to the Temple. I still remember the first time I went. I'm sure it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm super exciting for you and the upcoming wedding. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Talk to you soon!
