School's good. I've been invited to interview to become a student ambassador at BC (!!!) and am just thrilled about it! The student ambassador program is a special studies class/program in the Communication department that puts students in leadership positions on various assignments from educating high school seniors about the awesome Comm program at BC and speaking to classes on campus, to reviewing applications for the various communication certificates available, to implementing new programs and lots of other things. But it's a 3 unit class that goes toward a degree in Communication and is just a great opportunity. Ambassadors are appointed by professor recommendation and interview only, so this is really exciting to me. Hopefully I can pass the intensely extensive interview process with A. Todd...
Spring break starts on Monday, however, I don't have school on Fridays, so for me it starts tomorrow at 12:30pm. I will be spending the entire duration of my break in Utah. I. Can't. WAIT! I will likely be spending the majority of my time with Amy and Sarah (and Lyndsay, of course), but I get to see Laura and April (the former sister missionaries that taught my family the discussions which obviously turned out well), and Jen ("Sister Argyle"), Becky ("Sister Hansen"), an Jill ("Sister Griffith" or Piggy, hehe)!! I get to visit with Brian and a couple other friends too, but basically this is going to be the best Spring Break ever. I'll be there for a good long week, but I'm sure it'll fly by. I will certainly savor every moment!

I think there are still some things I've promised to post about, but it's pretty much 1:30am and I can't be bothered to use the part of my brain that remembers things. I'll try to remember and post over this next week, live from Utah! See you guys on the other side of spring break!
Yay for a blog! Congrats on your new calling, and other awesome opportunities. Have fun on your Spring break!
ReplyDeleteWay to go "Cuz" for seving for the "MAN". Be cool and I hope you had a great Spring brak. Can't wait for General Conference. Going to be way special and truly awesome.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you get to be an ambassador! And when you are you can just continually mention to A. Todd what a fantastic Ambassador I would have been. "Oh, A. Todd, this reminds me of something Allyson would have been really good at. Too bad she left BC without the opportunity..." or maybe an "Allyson is majoring in Communication. Did you know that A. Todd? Maybe you didn't and THAT'S why you didn't ask her to be an ambassador." or maybe simply an "Allyson is still pretty sore about you not choosing her to a Communication ambassador in the three years she took Comm classes. She wanted me to tell you, she's still really upset, actually."
ReplyDeleteBut, good luck!
I'm so jealous that spring break actually means something to people... I just work at chick-fil-a, and life goes on... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteBut I also don't have to go through finals and such. ^.^ So I guess it makes up for it.
Awesome temple pic - so artsy! How's my Baybah in Utah? And how's Sarah? We miss her a BUNCH!!
ReplyDeleteGreat times can be had over in Happy Valley but I'm SO glad you're home! Congrats on all the honors and accolades you've earned.
