Do you, do you like dreaming of things so impossible?

Lately, I have found myself pondering on the subject of inventions. Don't worry-- I'm not planning on inventing anything. My "inventor" phase ended with the same invention it bagan with... and that would be the automatic cat feeder my mom made out of a two liter soda bottle, some popsicle sticks, and a cat toy for my second grade Invention Convention project. She did really well considering the 14 hour notice I gave her before the project was due (thanks, mom!). But on the subject of inventions, I have decided to record my thoughts on a few of my very favorite inventions.

1. Air conditioning. Okay, this is my very favorite invention. Ever. I cannot imagine living without it, especially in the city of BAKErsfield (note my proper reference, emphasis added upon approval).

2. Cell phones. Can you imagine living in the days when you had to send letters across the country through an owl?? Oh wait, wrong movie.... through a person riding a horse?? Shoot, I can virtually talk to anyone, anywhere, and at any time (though I have found that sonme times are more appropriate than others)! There are only minor complications ie when the person you are trying to reach does not know how to answer their phone or there is no reception. But other than that, amazing.

3. The iPod. I try not to buy into the latest fads... I prefer to wait until someone eIclse buys them for me. But let me tell you, once I used one of these bad boys, I was hooked. I wasn't even planning on getting one because I didn't think I needed it, but for the first time in my life, I was wrong.

4. The Internet. Now this entails every amazing .com and .org out there. From YouTube to Wikipedia, you can find out anything. Yahoo! is mu number one source of information, including Heath Ledger's untimely death, Lance Bass' sexual identity, and the case about Talula does the Hula from Hawaii, a nine year old girl with a name that takes just as long to pronounce. Where would I be without all of this valuable information? Behind the times, that's where.

5. Ice cream.
'Nuff said.

So there you have it. Five of the most amazing inventions, EVER (in the opinion of Britney C.).
