I have mixed feelings, but most of them are happy. So I guess I should say I am happy, with a teaspoon- no, a pinch of sadness. I must say, this job provides some pretty decent entertainment. I think a few of my friends will be sad that I won't have as many stories about German the mexican jumping bean, crazy ol' Jimbo from Delano/ southern Texas, and all the wiggedy-whack customers. I have a feeling that I'll still have lots of good ones about good ol' Cecil.
I've been compiling a list of all the things I plan to do after quitting my job. It's one page front and back, but I add new things when I think of them. Here's a few of the good ones:
- Take Kiwi on more walkies.
- Line all of the shelves in my cabinets (I purchased sufficient shelf liner about 8 months ago).
- Take a daytime institute class.
- Learn how to play the bagpipes.
- Go to the Kern County Museum.
- Visit Misty and Danny.
- Make a documentary on James C. Clemmons, CEO/President of Bob's Muffler and Radiator Shop Inc. (Yes, this is my dad on a dollar bill ^)
There's the ones that stick out, folks! I'm heading out now. My lunch break is just about done. By the way, The Sequoia Sandwich Company makes the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. I encourage you to eat there sometime, especially since it is a locally owned business! The only problem with sandiwches these days is the general lack of fresh sliced tomatoes. This makes me sad :( However, Weezer makes me happy :) and I'm not sure if I've mentioned this to any of you, but you should listen to their new CD. I've purchases it twice so far, but I will be buying one more copy soon, so I would feel okay burning it for two people on a first come first serve basis. Hooray!
=w=!
Are you sure you're the Assistant Regional Manager and not Assistant TO the Regional Manager. I can't wait for you to have more time. Maybe sometime in the next year we'll have our girls night. Nevermind of course we will.
ReplyDeleteWeezer wil be touring!!!
Why would you buy three of the same CD?? Just curious!
ReplyDeleteI am so honored to be on your list of things to do once you quit! I'm excited! So will Isabella and Chase.
I am going to miss "the office" stories of Bob's Muffler but I am glad that you are doing what you want in your life!
Love ya!
I feel so jipped. I was gonna throw down the "Assistant TO the regional manager" business, but Monica beat me to it. But I have a suggestion for the list: "Make a list of every way in which my dog Kiwi demonstrates that she's possessed." That could provide HOURS of entertainment!
ReplyDeleteBob's Muffler loss is Bakersfield College's gain! I'm glad you're coming back!!!
