Happy first day of October!! Isn't this exciting? I truly hate Mondays, but today was a pretty good day, really. It's not that anything exceptionally great happened, I've just been pretty happy with life in general, I guess. Something about the Fall makes me a little perkier too, you know? The first day of Autumn was September 23rd, but now it's October, so it's pretty much officially official. My family goes to this pumpkin patch on Oak St. and 24th every year, and I've seen them setting it up this past week. I bet it's open now. :)
Yesterday, I had to meet with the Bishop right before church. When I walked into his office, where he and my dad were waiting for me, I told him "You better be calling me on a mission..." because I've been quite content with my calling and whatnot. Sadly, he informed me that the church mission policy still states that girls must be twenty one years of age to serve a mission, but the exciting news is that I am the new Young Women's Secretary! Apparently I'm knocking out all the auxiliaries one at a time, haha. But I really really am excited for this opportunity. And I'm even more excited to be working so closely with Liz! Now I have a good excuse to hang out with her all the time! But my kids are very sad to see me go, and I won't lie, as much as I hate to admit it, I will miss Primary, but only a little and only because I love my kids so darn much. I made them a promise that we'd still be friends and we'll still have movie nights too. That made them a little happier.
My grandma has been out of town to visit one of her good friends from high school. They went to their fiftieth class reunion this weekend too! She had a blast and said she has lots of stories to tell me when she gets back. We decided to discuss them over The Office, seeing as she unfortunately missed the season premiere. She was so disappointed to miss it, but thank goodness for DVR! It makes me happy that she loves The Office so much. How cool is that??
On a lighter note, Kiwi is experiencing her first night away from her family tonight. She's at the vet for the night. Earlier today, she was fixed. No puppies for that puppy! I'm pretty much done with animals for the moment. Every time I come home, I feel the need to say "Ee I ee I Oh". But yes, keep Kiwi in your prayers, the sweet pup.
Well, I better hit the hay. I'm getting quite sleepy.
